The Hotel’s story

When Trippolyte and Suzette de la Trappe decided to transform an old toy factory in Carouge into a small, welcoming hotel, they had no idea that, in addition to inventing the now widespread concept of the “boutique hotel”, they were going to create a timeless place that would attract extraordinary people to the banks of the river Arve.

Famous residents or staff members, long-distance travellers, or plain onlookers, all play their role in making the Grand Trip Trap a place where the boundaries between dream and reality are blurred to make way for dreamlike and poetic worlds.
